The G forces that will be experienced on a 1000mph run are demonstrated nicely by Andy Green in a stunt plane with a slightly unwilling passenger.

Whatever you think of Noble he got his project started and then the next one and now this one.
Andy Green seems more comfortable than Noble pressing palms and interacting with the public and media.
It's British engineering at it's best and shows why we are world leaders in this sort of technology.

I met Andy Green in Kandahar Air Base in Afghanistan in about 2004/5
He was actively still flying the fast jets on Ops.
I was just scoping the base out to put a warehouse in, just in the bar and there he was. Had a quick chat but didnt want to linger, real nice guy.
My non car mates with me didnt understand.........losers

Thank you for posting this up, fantastic work and the best craftmanship going on there, truly outstanding.
Thank God there are people like this still left on this earth who are willing to break into unknown teritory, there were alot back in the day but it seems most things have been done now and it doesent leave much for younger ones to aspire to.
What professionalism that Andy Green has.
Heroes in my book.

I remember watching the TV series about the Thrust SSC project and I was mesmerised. As has been said, the level of expertise in the engineering is exceptional. I dont normally have a good thing to say about Coventry, but if you are ever passing, drop into the Motor Museum in the city centre. They have a fantastic display of speed record stuff and the SSC car is there. The simulator is great as well.
cheers Steve
