I remember seeing him play at Brighton in the (80's ?), brilliant.

yep, my first ever blues LP was BB King.
Great icon for blues, also had the chance to see him a few times.
What a stunning artist he was...

Sad news. He got me interested in blues and a whole new style of playing geeeetar.
He will be missed. RIP.

I saw him about 5 years ago, getting on by then, but privileged to have seen him.

Much respect for him. I enjoyed one of the last albums he did "Riding with the King" with Eric Clapton.

I have to say though, I like John Lee Hooker's music even more!
