Not only for the driver, but looking at the crowd, if the rails didn't stop it.......Unthinkable as you've got nowhere to go!

Safety has come a long way in Autosport for both drivers and the crowd!! :thumbright:

I think the phrase rhymes with 'clucking bell'. Wowzers. You could see how fast it happened as the crowd/marshall dont even flinch.
What an incredible job that catch fencing did. Unreal.

I was there,my first ever nascar event, didnt finsh till 3 in the morning, that crash was real close to where I standing have lots of photos, will post some up when I work out how to from an iphone on to this forum, have already tried

To post them on here from an iPhone, you'll need a resizing / cropping app. Then resize them to 640 x 480 ( maximum size ), then just post as normal.

but cheers nigel, but i only have a basic b tech qualification in using an i phone, be better giving my phone to my daughter

sorry about the quality,but taken seconds after the crash, got give them there due, emergency services were on there way before the cars stopped, think they were kind of expecting something bad with only a 2 lap dash to the flag after the last crash
