Possible new job requires me to find a diesel estate, around a 2012 car with a budget for circa £10k.
I currently drive a skoda octavia 2.0 elegance DSG, great car but I miss my old V70 T5... sob.
Anyone had exposure to the V70 D5 around this age? Good cars? Weak points etc?
Anything else that I should consider? Saab Aero perhaps... Whatever it is needs 200bhp+
Gracias.

V70 D5. Possible head gasket issues. Our one at work had a new engine at 20K on warranty and I believe the entire fleet had to have head gaskets.
Stupid electric handbrakes too, poxy things.

I was going to say, if you're feeling brave, you could try a diesel version of my Alfa 159 - there's a 2.4 diesel with 200 bhp (tho most people chip it for an extra 40 hp and improved mpg) but a late one like 2011 (I think that was the last year) would likely be a bit more than £10k.

I had an Octavia 2 TDI
I moved to an audi A4 2 TDI
the Octavia went better due to being about half a tonne lighter

I've got a 60 plate Mazda 6 Sport........Fantastic car.
180hp/300ft lbs 6 speed with all the bells and whistles (top of the range)FMSH, one owner and only 37.5k miles from a Mazda franchise dealer.
It cost me what your looking at. It was the most powerful oil burner I could find with the above stats. Volvo's, BMW, VRS Skoda's and Mercs were all more to buy with higher mileage and more owners.

I would love a Yeti...great reviews and hold their value well. They landed a helicopter on a moving one on Top Gear when they reviewed one a few years ago
