If it was standard to the car leave it, if not. Black would look awesome.
The interior is the standard colour and the seats have been recovered so seems a shame to change it for changes sake as its all pretty good order and matches the dash. Door cards could do with being replaced and was thinking of going black for them but nothing else for now....

The cars original colour is a dark metallic green which is still evident in the trunk & inside quarter panels.

I would not worry too much about No PAS Brakes but a manual Disc upgrade would improve the car...having done numerous upgrade I would say that!!!

If you Do opt for this route, get the biggest discs you can that fit under your choice of wheels! :thumbright: :thumbright:

Thanks Pete - having done a couple of disc brake upgrades on other marques I totally agree. After getting it sorted out for the road / MOT I'll have a look for a good kit. Previously used SSBC and Willwood kits which have been pretty comprehensive. :thumbright:

Personally not a fan of SSBC on Mopars, the discs are too small.....

Pretty much use it and abuse it....... have some fun..... however drum brakes and no power assist could get interesting ! Got to fix the handbrake, wipers don't work, headlight covers don't flip..... so other than fix a few little issues then get an MOT there really isn't anything else to do..
Famous last words above  so UPDATE is necessary.......

New handbrake cables fitted and the footbrake mechanism needed a complete overhaul to free it up. Don't reckon it was ever used for a very long time !

Wipers again just needed the linkages freeing up and now they work perfectly.

Headlight covers turned out to be leaky split vacuum hoses at the connection points - cut off about 1" and re-connected them and they work perfectly

New starter motor cured the weak cranking and bad starting issue along with a little tuning of the carb.

Then decided to rebuild the front suspension and steering as the visible play in the whole front end was very bad..... I think it still had the original 1968 ball joints and rubber bushes

So the drum brakes went in favour of a disc brake conversion kit

And in the process the upper control arm mounting brackets on both sides had virtually rusted away and I fabricated new brackets from scratch and welded them in..

And the upper control arms were badly rusted around the ball joint - tried to save them but they were too far gone so had to wait for a new pair to arrive

Sold the old 15" chrome wheels / tyres and fitted new 17" Torque Thrust II's

With a few other projects in the garage this all took a bit of time but finally it went through the MOT on April 21st this year

Sent off the application for a registration number to DVLA and got a positive reply last Friday so just waiting on the plates to arrive now....
:thumbright:

Next job is to cut off those awful exhaust tips

Still haven't cut off the exhaust tips

Rear bumper had a bad dent in it. Got a replacement 2nd hand but straight bumper on which the chrome was very poor but that was fine as I wanted to weld up and smooth out the bumper bolts and over rider holes and paint it body colour anyway.... Just got to give it a buff and polish and that will be back on for this weekend

Wow time flies and never enough time to post on here.... ! So by way of a small update I recently loaned the 17" Torque Thrusts wheels to my youngest lad to try them out on the 1970 Challenger.... so I decided to see what the Bassett D Hole 15" steel rims would look like with 60 profile tyres..... I like them, but maybe not to everyone's taste if you like the factory stock look !

Got the bumble bee stripes applied a while back last summer and also got the exhaust tip changed for something a little more subtle....
