A body PCD

Post by skippy »

I'm having a senior moment, what year did the PCD change on the A bodies? Would a 71 Dart be 4 or 4.5 PCD?

4 x 7/16"

Change over was Mid -'72 from memory, the same time as large ball joint.

All slant 6 A bodies up to 76 were SBP.

Factory V8s 74+ were all BBP.

73 was the change over year. Most V8s had the upgrade, but I believe some of the early 73 cars had a mix.

Dave the problem with that is that Belgium 6 pot A bodies had disc brakes and big bolt pattern. The American 6 pot ones didnt. Belgium A bodies also had bigger torsion bars and rear springs. Had enough Belgium A bodies over the years

RHD markets went to 4.5 in 1970 with disk brakes on all cars unless you optioned a poverty pack with rubber mats and drums.

they also based their handling package on the same lines as Euro spec barracuda.
