We have been in the process of adopting a dog from Romania for some time now. My wife is involved in a charity that re homes dogs over here to give them a better life. Our little dog was found on the streets and rescued. She was very poorly with heart worm and various other problems, and its taken 8 months for her to be fighting fit until she could be brought over to us.
It was really worth the wait. Such a little character, and has attained the level of A list celebrity in our street. Lol. She's part dachshund and part chihuahua. About 18 months old we think.
She is named Shelby.. Before anyone draws a sharp breath in shock, the little black dog in one of the pictures is called Hemi, so don't panic! (She's also awesome).
