have the chance of a single plane intake for my 440 build was wondering if anyone had any issues with low revs power etc with a single plane intake over a double plane?

If you are using it for the street mainly I would stick with a dual plane, if you are thinking of the strip then a single plane maybe, along with all the other things that go to make more horse power, although can be done in stages.

Saying that I did not find a big drop in driveability when going to a s/p M1, there is good torque there usually on a big block low down.

400 bucks is crazy, have a look on US eBay, I buy many parts from private sellers, I wouldn't expect to pay much over 100 bucks to post an intake. I have had equally good results buying parts from the Mopar Traders page on Facebook. If you can find a Holley street dominator, they are a good single plane intake for the street, used them on several cars.

Don't forget you can always get things shipped to Ron Fenton!
They are loading the first container at the end of the month. Although, I would have thought you would be able to source an inlet for reasonable money from one of the usual suppliers?

We've used Ron a few times Billybob. Highly recommended! Give him a ring or drop him an email - he can advise on costs and timescales.

You could try Steve Lang, he was a Summit racing agent, he would charge the price of the part into pounds. Ie $100 = £100 which included the shipping.

Give him a try..
