Nascar

Hi,

Can anyone recommend any books about Nascar, especially covering the barn door seventies and super-Regal/aero-Thud early eighties?

I have quite few books covering early history, one or two drivers biographies, the very good 'he crashed me, etc' coverage of the 1979 season, but I was wondering if anyone had any other recommendations?

I followed Nascar through the Jaws and Awesome Bill eighties quite closely but gave up when Davey Allison died in '93 and it all went the Dale show after that.

Any fans out there?

All the best

Adam Ford is a big NASCAR fan, I'm sure he'll be along presently with his recommendations...

Hi Sandy

I don't have anything specifically about that era, but you might try "NASCAR Off The Record" by Brock Yates, which is a great read.

Cheers
Adam

Hi Adam,

I have the Brock Yates book, cheers. Very good (as you would expect) too.

It seems an ignored (the seventies) decade.

All the best

Thanks for that.

Sad to say I have a few of them already (that's where spare funds go  )
