Latest acquisition by my son, who can't get it insured due to his tender years so yours truly has to drive it.

1956 Bedford RLHZ Green Goddess. 4.9 litre petrol, 4 speed crash box, top speed 45mph ish and drops to 15mph up hill on the A34. It is a time warp, full history and all equipment, and tipped over to 4,000 miles on the way home.

Just completed the 7 hours journey from Poole via Salisbury, Andover, Newbury, Oxford, Bicester and Buckingham to avoid the motorways. 164 miles, with lunch at the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop.

Blimey you're taking this brexit malarky a bit serious, assume you're gearing up to fight them on the beaches? Troop carrier next?

The fleet is now 2 ambulances and one fire engine!
Jack did say to me you can't just own one military vehicle.

The fire engine only came about because I traced one of the previous owners of my Dodge Ambulance from the 80's and whilst chatting he mentioned his current vehicle and that it was for sale. Jack wasn't looking for one specifically but sometimes you just have to go with it!

Love it Matt, always thought that you can't just have one vehicle of any type. The more the merrier.
Do you or Jack have any plans for it or are you keeping it standard

Totally standard, this is a proper bit of history, with all its paperwork from day one, including its time in Hampshire Fire Brigade during the 1994 floods.
Its got everything with it and we've found pictures on the net of it at Wellington Barracks during the fire dispute, so even its paint is original.
We just plan to preserve it and take it on a few local runs and events.

A piece of history well worth saving.
There's a guy on retro rides got one that he's busy working on, haven't read the thread yet so not sure if he's restoring or converting his.
Might be worth a look though
