There was one of those 'Monte Royce' mashups in the museum on the Isle of Man.
Doesn't look any better in the flesh :D

I'll take the 66 Hemi Coronet instead.

Good finds Alan.
Especially love the Satellites (obvs). If I had the space I’d have the 65 tomorrow.
That 63 looks like hard work with crossplies, drum brakes & 12.6 compression!

Cant believe the 68 RR went for just under $30k.

Love the 318 Satellite and the Javelin looks to be a lovely , cheap and useable way to enjoy the hobby.

Thanks for posting :thumbright:

I very much doubt it gets driven anywhere. The kind of people that like to over restore these cars, erasing their history in the process just want impressive looking museum pieces IMO.

Im with you on that Blue. I firmly believe that our cars are meant to be used and enjoyed but a lot of high end cars are just ornaments, almost a liability.

My dream cars are all original driver cars. I gravitate towards cars that are original (dont mind any upgrades to make them useable) and I tend to breeze past cars that are over restored and trailer queens.

I went to a show in the Summer in Moffat and there were 3 perfectly restored but identical Avenger Tigers next to each other. Almost everyone walked past them to a lovely looking Hunter estate. Totally original, nicely kept and used regularly. Was a lovely bit of nostalgia. The others were better than they ever were out of the factory and pretty sterile to be honest

Cheers Steve :thumbright:
