B body rear floor wanted

Post by Matt74 » Fri Jul 05, 19 1:23 pm

Anything out there for a 68 Charger.
Rear floor that goes under the rear seat. I think all b body's are the same.

Or does anyone know where I can get one at a reasonable price? Rockauto are cheap enough but the shipping brings it up to around the £1000 mark.

I can repair mine but it will take a lot of work!

You could get Ron Fenton to bring it in, should be a lot cheaper that way.

I would check carefully; Dodges may be a bit longer than Plymouths in that area - they have a longer wheelbase per model than their Plymouth counterpart.
Pete Wiseman; Cambridge.

That may be my best option in this case Blue.

I think it's just the leaf spring mount and rear hanger that are different Pete but I will double check.
I've already had to modify a b body rear hanger to fit the charger. Luckily I noticed it was wrong before I welded it in.

Cheers Richard,
I managed to get the floor out in one piece and it is repairable fortunately but it will take a long time to do it right.

Your old rocker assembly came out of storage today and should be going in by next weekend hopefully. :thumbright:

Hi Matt
How much of the rear floor is needed - if you have photo of the area you need I can check on the shell I have here!!

Regards
Kev

Hi Kev,
It's both sides that have rusted and and various damage from a previous owners handy work.
It's pretty flat in these areas so an easy repair with sheet metal tbh so I don't think it will be worth sectioning in a piece from another floorpan.

Thanks though! :)
