The original MMA was going when I joined in 1982. It petered out in the late 80's, and we revived it in 1997 (i think).

From my memory, it was 1997 that Tony got it all started, he put flyers out on the windscreens of all the cars at the 1st oor 2nd Mopar Euronats, asking if anyone wanted to start a club. I was one that said yes.
Tony O may be able to firm up the date, but I would suggest that the date of the first newsletter will give us a good approximation.
We have always gone with 1997 when asked, that's how we knew we'd been around 10 and then 20 years.

Bloody Hell!
I thought it had been around a lot longer than that!
That almost makes me one of the establishment!!
I got the '71 Cuda in 1997 / 1998.... it seems like last week.........

I think there was an earlier one than that - it was just 'mmc' in black and yellow in a straight line I'm sure I must have a pic of it somewhere !!

Tim Fennell started it all back in about 1978 I was there at Tims house with Garry mills and Steve (pretty boy) and about 4 others it was then taken over by Steve Gorrange in the early 1980s then reborn as the MMA by Tony O. I was Steve that started the Brighton run i think.
I had a 1968 Dodge Coronet at the time and Tim and Garry had Chargers i still have a couple of the mags that Steve Gorrange printed around 1984
