66 coronet
Well finally got to go and collect my car today.
It's been a long time coming, but really happy it's here.
Just got to go through it. Don't trust the yanks working on cars.

Re: 66 coronet
Well I decided to sort the brakes out. They were none existent, not even a glimmer of slowing down. But the funny thing was they also dragged quite badly. To the point you couldn't turn the wheels by hand.
I had it down as a servo / master cylinder problem.
Removed the master cylinder and the brakes still dragged.
Removed the front calipers and at least three pots on either side were leaking, even though everything appears to have been rebuilt. I decided I wanted to be able to use the car without having to worry about stuff like the brakes.
So I replaced everything with mid 70's cop brakes. My thought is i'm keeping everything that comes off and I'm not modifying or butchering the car, no originality is lost if it can all be put back as it was.
So new uprights, carriers, discs, calipers, valves and brake pipes. Carefully stored all the old stuff. Fitted everything and a new dual circuit master cylinder.
And the brakes were actually worse but no leaks which I suppose is a plus. I went for a slightly larger bore size on the master cylinder and that's why they are worse.
The main problem has been the servo, and so far it's been a reasonable amount of money to get this far.
Now to the joys of a hemi, a rebuildable servo does $1500 plus the re built. I can get after market servos but are the wrong stud pattern for the special hemi braked which sell for around $1900, but I found a company in the states that mates a reproduction bracket and servo for $750 a trained eye can tell its not original, nut you have to sad to notice.
After the final touches done the brakes now are fantastic, probably the best on any mopar I've owned, a lot more in keeping with how the car goes. Very happy with them now, and can drive now in a far more spirited style.
Which brings me on to the tyres.....
