Just finished my longest road trip in the Polara. Birmingham to SW Scotland. 300 miles, ran like a dream with no issues and was a fantastic trip in the old girl! Cant wait to use her more now we are reunited after my house move!

Cheers Steve :thumbright:

Nice to see you both reunited. I’ve past the Scotland welcome sign many times.

I passed it again today going the wrong way unfortunately. Do you still need a mirror for your car?

Cheers Steve

See you got the traditional wet welcome crossing the border!

Looking really good under those blue skies with the sunshine glinting off the paintwork - glad you're back together again.

You'll certainly give the locals a surprise now.

Hi Dougie, hope you are well!

Had a bit of rain in Dumfries but plain sailing after that all the way home. The 40 mile round trip for decent petrol will be a good excuse to keep her ticking over

Cheers Steve :thumbright:

I thought that too, somewhat ironic!

Great road trip Steve, must have done the car the world of good.

NC 500 next then, now you are mostly there anyway.

I bet it was a good feeling to see her after a long time Steve.

Then drive her all the way up to Scotland and make it there with no problems too, WOW that is a great journey.

Enjoy driving her in beautiful Scotland :thumbright:

It looks at home there :thumbright:

I'm not even going to ask what that cost you in petrol....

Thanks gents, it's great having the car at home at last.

To be honest, the NW500 is a very busy route now with to many cars for my liking. I'm happy to just cruise around the SW as it's almost a forgotten corner of Scotland. Funnily enough, we haven't had any decent rain for ages, unlike the Midlands. Was lucky the only rain was in the section from the North Lakes to Gretna and Dumfries.

I need to get a good quality outdoor cover for her until I can explore garage options etc if anyone has any good recommendations for one that will fit?

Cheers Steve :thumbright:
