Even though Jason is gone work continues, I promised him the car would be finished as he wanted, he was still talking about it the day before he died. 727 is all back together with a Trans go shift kit and my usual mods, a reusable gasket and a cast pan round it off. That should keep it leak free. Last job of the day was to install it back in the car.

Took a break in the weather to slosh some paint around, I use Rustoleum Combicoat for stuff like this, needs no primer, is hard wearing and flows on lovely. It thins with Acetone so doesn’t bloom if it’s a bit cold and damp in my experience.

I’ll check out that paint, I’ve used smoothright in the past for K frame and such on the Barracuda, but was thinking a refresh on the Challenger might be good when the lump is out. Looks good.

It’s very slow drying so even if you Bananarama! on you get a good finish. Covers in one coat too, I normally give it a day to dry.

Not sure why it didn’t like brush….
