Andy and Dave got to Barton with their Buicks.Dave said it was a tight squeeze for parking due to wet ground being out of bounds.

" Thanks, Absolutely epic meeting . Easter weekend, warm weather, clocks moved forward and everyone itching to get their motor's out of hibernation. What an amazing turnout !

We must thanks our host Skelton Lake services, that had kept our dedicated parking area clear for our group members. A special thank you to a special member of staff, Julie Keates Asking truck drivers to move, explaining to caravaners that they couldn't park as they were expecting a car show. Although it officially starts from 4pm, people where there way before. Myself and Yo Andy B took to marshalling the entrance. We suspected it was going to be a little busy, so kindly asked those that arrived in modern family cars to use the main carpark. It wasn't to differentiate between us and them, It was to keep all the Classic cars, Yanks, Customs etc together. If you spent time traveling, polished and prepped your car and we asked you to move, please don't be offended we apologise and thank you for your cooperation, we needed as much space as possible. By 4:30 we literally filled every single space. That's a minimum off 200 show cars !

We were overwhelmed by how many cars arrived. The queue in was past the roundabout, at one point I honestly thought it would get out of hand. We had a visit from the undercover police officers and they complimented us on keeping the idiots out of our scene and asked if we needed their help, thankfully we didn't - respect to WYP. The amount of people there was the most surprising. Social media had spread the word. Leeds Live had done a report on our meeting and that had attracted a lot of new people to our scene, families with kids to in the curious public who just wanted free day out. We were told a family booked a hotel room as they had travelled far just to visit the cruise.

You may have seen our banners on the entrance. Many thanks to John Ellis son for making them up. It identifies and promotes the group to anyone interested.

You will have probably noticed a few of us wearing our new Leeds Cruise jackets. Big thanks to Andy B for putting the effort into getting them designed and made. We hope you like them and wanted to give you guys something that made it feel like a club as opposed to an anonymous group. We have got some t-shirt on order too. Not making any money, just for fun.

If anyone overstayed the 3 hour free parking limit, please message me your registration plate. The management of Skelton Lake will quash the parking charges. I'll send an email off to the services on Monday, so please don't leave it too late.

Since we relocated to Skelton Lake in 2021 The Leeds Cruise has re-established itself. We surly now must be the largest monthly meeting in the UK ! Thank you to those of you who have helped and support us. Thank you to everyone who turned up to The Leeds Cruise past or present - Your Leeds Cruise. We couldn't have done this without you. "

cheers Barry, there was a little bit of hot hatchery, unfortunately some of the rascals got in the cruise area before the marshals could direct them elsewhere, which meant they ran out of space for the yanks, classics and customs later on, but it was more the volume of cars that turned up that gave the organisers a headache

yes had a chat with Andy and Dave, it was a bit tight at Barton, the field's not open yet, hopefully ok next month
