I don't know if this is the case here, as I have never drag raced.

But have driven cars with a similar effect which used to be called tramping, when the tire grips then the suspension lets go causing a bounce effect.

I THINK! its due to shockers allowing the car to bounce ? :read2:

the car got out of shape doing a rolling burnout and the slicks got a bit bouncy

no one got hurt, El Loco lives to fight another day, that’s the main thing 8-)
