Wouldn't be the first time I've left engine parts on the kitchen table, I rebuilt an air cooled beetle engine on a Black and Decker workmate in my old flat.
My other half wasn't bothered at all.
Yep, she was a keeper

Well, my engine build is on hold at the moment as chassis and suspension work is taking up a lot of time and money.
It also turns out I've got a 3.91 gear in the diff if this little label is anything to go by. it looks like I might have to add a 3.23 gear to the shopping list at some point so I can get some decent milage out of this thing, after all, its a 'camper' (sort of).

keep that a whack a mustang t5 in it ...:)

get the v6 one with the truck like 1st and a 0.73 Overdrive

or the AX aisin warner that they used in the dodge trucks a bellhousing from 318 to the aisin warner exists makes it easier than the t5

https://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/t ... nual/ax15/

you can then keep your rear end for sprightly acceleration but have an overdrive that MIGHT allow a little more than 55 MP on the motorway

gotta be better than a 3 speed

you'd kick the ass of any split window VW

i come here to plant seeds, that will empty your wallet :)
