Hi everyone, I’ve got a set of 6 leaf rear springs on the way from ESPO in the states, expensive but the existing springs were done. I’ve gone with a 1” lift over stock just to give a little more tyre clearance with 15” x 255s. The Monroe air shocks in the back at the moment are pretty harsh so I might look to change them at the same time. Does any on one have any recommendations for shocks available here (so fed up of paying shipping and taxes) that they’ve fitted, also with the extra lift I’m curious whether I need to be looking outside the usual sizes. I am thinking of the Spax G3287s a bit pricey and maybe overkill?

Thanks, I ended up getting them from RockAuto. £156 incl shipping and taxes and here 24hrs later. I don’t know how they can do that.

That's a good service! Thinking of the logistics of that is frying my head. You order, someone must pack it, run it by courier straight to the airport, onto a plane that's leaving shortly, over the water, land, through customs, to another courier and out to your door in 24hrs

Did the ESPO springs arrive from back in May and have you fitted them?

Yes they arrived a long time ago, I fitted them I ordered +1" springs from Espo and they lifted the back end too much, so I ordered some front mounts with 3 holes to allow me to lower them a tad, I'm sure over time they will settle and then I may put the front eyes in the standard hole on the front mounts. At the moment the car is being registered for me as it just arrived in Australia where we moved earlier this year.

ps. think you got those springs just in time as ESPO I think were limiting / stopping some of their production going forward.

For a cheap shock I think KYB are hard to beat. I fitted a set on my Barracuda about 9 years ago when it was just a street car. The rears are still on there now and I see no reason to change them at this point.
