Hi I’m looking to replace the Yuasa battery that’s in my 69 Barracuda, I’m finding it difficult to match anything I can find available here with some of the usual recommendations Stateside. Would anyone have a suggestion for a reputable brand with decent cold cranking amps that fits their A body tray? Cheers Matt

Tanya batteries. Really good service and they honor their warranties.

I switched to big-Bosches. Will crank forever and fit the tray nicely. Not the cheapest but nice warranty too.
S4010 model.

make sure you get one with the + and - on the correct sides
what i'm saying comes from my experience with Aussie cars it may not impact others
on the Aussie RHD car usually has a much shorter -Ve strap than the one shown on Morgans car. designed to force you to use the correct battery configuration
its short so that it only fits a battery with the negative post towards the engine not the inner wing
the orginal battery had the + and - towards the centre of the car, meaning the battery you would need to get is a less common config
if your car has replacment earth lead and positive lead they may reach for either battery configuration and this will cause you no problems
noever worked out if this was a universal Mopar thing or an Aussie thing
many batteries
connectores towards you + is right and negative is left
fewer batteries
connections away from you + right negative left

Thanks Morgan and Dave, I went with a Bosch in the end, but a 100 size to fit the tray, still around 750CCA so better than the Yuasa that was in there. The battery is in the boot at the moment, something I will undo later, but yes I did make sure of the terminals orientation to make sure the leads will connect up.
Cheers.
