Greetings all:

ROTG was again at Stonor Park last week and as previously, I attach my usual "point and shoot" efforts. Weather was bright sun so my apologies if the colours seem a little bleached. Also forgot to charge the camera battery so there's a few less than previously (although you'll probably not notice).

Thanks Alan, good turn out as usual, but as you'd expect on a dry day!
Talking of which, did you see anything of the 'wild fire' nearby? It caused some to leave early I heard?

Indeed. There was a small conflagration in a nearby harvested field (which I actually initially took to be the burning of the stubble) which did on occasion spawn impressive flames and signficant smoke so a few cars did leave earlier than perhaps they might otherwise have done but I think it was more a precaution to avoid encountering an oncoming fire engine on the surrounding B roads than due to the fire itself.

There was a cricket match being played closer to the fire than we were, and they carried on regardless until the police helicopter started orbiting the site to assess/direct the brigade although by the time the first engine arrived, the farmer had ploughed some fire breaks into the field so it was already being contained.
