Thanks for all this great advice but as I'm finding that on a 10k budget there is not much. loads of rotten charger for $5000 or cars that look like show winner for $25,000. I will keep looking and keep you posted.

great car i had a mgc gt it had a Austin healy 3000 engine in it 3000cc straight 6 with twin Su. The only car i have ever drove it at 120mph on 5 cylinders and it scared the sh*t out of me.
