Re: 440 Engine build for friend

You will need good quality adjustable roller rockers added to that list and 1-7/8th primary headers. Also it will need a higher stall than stock converter or the engine revs will pull down when put into gear. You can't add bits as you go. Everything needs to work as a matched package. The carb will ...

No. They are going to just sit there in my mates garage until after the owners divorce is all done. :D

Re: Three rare new cars

Last but not least.

A Demon 170 with Carbon fiber wheels ( $10,000 option)... power sunroof ($12,000 option). Had to pay $50k over MSRP (some dealerships were asking $100K over MSRP). So total price was over £200k out the door.

Re: Dave Robsons Challenger R/T

Bloody hell. This brings back memories. :D It's kind of creepy seeing how much work I was able to do on this car during 2007 considering 50% of my brain was out of action for most of that year. I think I was 6 months into the next year before my brain got as functional as it was going to get. I can'...

Re: 1970 Challenger grill

Yep I didn't like the unpainted egg crate either. So painted mine. :D No they really didn't do odd things at the factory. They were all done the same and inspected as they were done. It's just people make judgments based on cars that are not as they came from the factory and Billy Bob that lives ove...

Re: Floyd Brothers 70 Challenger

Make sure you paint the pinch weld matt black along the bottom of the sills as well if not already done. It's a pet hate of mine. I even pulled up Graveyard cars for not doing it on a customers car when I was there. :D

Re: Floyd Brothers 70 Challenger

Shame.

Being aluminium I would have tried polishing or having it polished in those areas. Not as good as plated but better.

Re: 1970 Challenger grill

To quote Paul Herd, Barracuda and Challenger restoration guide. Page 132-133 . "In 1970, Dodge introduced the Challenger, and its grille design was a single piece design with a small cross-hatch pattern that was painted flat black. On the base Challenger, the frame was painted dark gray and on...
