Re: I'm a survivor!!!!

Doesn't matter what you call it Pete, it's a lovely car. If it was mine I would leave it just the way it is. You already have a race car :D

Roedean Cafe (overlooking Brighton Marina) might be open by end of the month? Their pitch and putt course is already open, and they're serving cold drinks and ice cream. Their Facebook page is encouraging folk to park up their classics and play golf.

Re: Best parts source?

Much as I'd like to support UK retailers, it's hard to ignore RockAuto when it's half the price for the same part, duty paid and delivered. Last part I ordered was on a Friday evening and it was on my doorstep Monday morning.

Pity we couldn’t all still meet up responsibly on the Sunday for a get together with the cars as restrictions will no doubt be eased dramatically by the end of July, just an idea?

Gav.
Great idea! Cruise to Brighton anyone?

Re: Challenger Steering Wheel

I have an E body 'woodgrain' wheel in nice condition. Vinyl is green but could be re-dyed.

I used to have it on my Coronet, but you may have to source an adapter to work without the crush can on an E body.

Let me know if you're interested, and I'll dig it out of the garage.

Oh no! We could have swapped. I guess you got the longer one, but if not, you can have mine.

Re: 71 340 RT Challenge Driveway resto........

So pleased to see this car getting the restoration it deserves Pete. That car was always solid underneath, and has a strong running motor.

Barry will be tickled to bits to see it done too.

Looking forward to following the story...

Re: Fan clutch needed - short spindle

Thanks Stu. I think it will be fine. It's the same depth as the original. I knew there was a reason I kept it!

Just waiting for the transmission cooler line fittings for the rad, because I mullered one of them getting the line off

Re: Fan clutch needed - short spindle

It looks exactly the same as the original Gavin. I'm sure that short nose version wasn't available when I first replaced it about 20 years ago.
