Outside for the first time in 10 years.
A dust off , then back in the barn, while I get the heads built, then it's on with the big valve heads, Hughes whiplash cam , new inlet and 600 VS carb.

I fitted a 2600_2800 stall converter.
I will check the combustion chamber volume on the old heads , the new ones are 65cc I think,
I think I have to go with the whiplash cam, as I don't want to get involved in the block work at this time.

I sort of gone off the injection idea, as I already bought the carb 10 years ago, and as you say the thottle body types don't appear to be quite 100% yet.

I also found the boots had split, on the caliper pistons, they were siezed up too.
I fitted new ones.

After some Google and you tube research, I found that there is a shuttle valve inside the combination/proportioning valve.
I managed to get it back in position , by bleeding the front brakes first, and then the back. The Vac bleeder did not get on with bleeding the brakes where there was a ...

Yes indeed, I had thought of removing it and I probably will need a adjustable limiting thingy.
Master cylinder is a disc drum one.
I'd just like to get it back working . I've taken the switch off , and had a look inside, but it's not what I was expecting, no shuttle that I could see to move back ...

It's got a Dana 44hd axle with disc brakes, the 2 rear hoses were new, so should be OK 😬 but I will check.
I seem to remember years ago someone on here was saying that the brake valve in my picture was fitted to cut off fluid to the rear or front brakes , if there was a circuit failure.

I'm having a bit of bother bleeding the rear brakes, I can get little to no brake fluid with my vac brake bleeder.
I think it may be something to do with the brake valve on the n/s/f chassis leg.
Is there something that needs to be reset, it's like the valve has blocked off fluid to the rear brakes ...

Unfortunately I've done nothing for 10 years, it's just been sat in the corner of the barn under a cover.
But now I'm back on it 😃.

Today I finished off the exhaust, changed the fuel pipes.
Drained the 10 year old fuel, which quite surprisingly smelt like it was still new. Checked the oil and water., filled up the auto box with dextron ll.
I put a new battery on , redid the battery cable .
It started immediately, a bit tappetty ...

This is what I've decided to use at present, with the intention of over axle pipes at a later date.
"The Cow Horns" exhaust system. That will keep the rear tyres warm.

I guess small stuff , like exhaust tips , can be shipped easy , and cheaply enough.
But I need some front seats , as I don't like the current ones. That was what i was thinking of getting in a container with Ron Fenton.

I like the factory tips, are they available in the UK, or is that an import item.
Is the guy , I can't remember his name , still importing container loads , and you could ask him to include it in a load ?
