Replacing radiator

This could be a significantly daft question, i am replacing my radiator and hoses on 383bb. When refilling the system do i have to remove the thermostat to fill the block?..i have had various views. What is the correct procedure???
Also coolant volume and recommended type/mix.
Thanks

Re: Hi Torque Starter

Fitted same as you did Steve….works great…no lumbering slow turnover on start up now especially with the electronic ignition upgrade…

Any one after a high torque starter… i have a new one for sale???

Cheers

Leaf Springs 70 Charger

I am replacing my leaf springs, Jones Springs in west midland said they can make new ones to existing pattern and raise height if needed, i think mine have sagged a little. Anyone know them or any alternatives. They quoted about £170 per side. Rather get replacements than refurbish tbh

Hi Torque Starter

Hi All, not been on here for a while!… Can someone advise please? I just bought a hi torques state tee from JEGS for my 383 engines charger. It only has 9 teeth whereas the original has 10 teeth. JEGS tech guy said it would work fine but I am reluctant to try. Has anyone come across this please? Che...

New Starter Motor

Thinking about replacing starter motor on my 1970 383 Charger. Seems to turn the engine over very slowly. Will a hi torque type starter improve this? Any suggestions on replacement and where to buy (pref in UK)?

Cheers

Garage recommendation - Charger work

I PM'd Anton a while back but he hasn't responded...maybe not interested. I need some work done on my 70 Charger, Electronic ignition, timing, fuel pump and exhaust modification. Can't seem to find the time due to work commitments so can anyone suggest someone near Bristol that is good?

Just sorted with Brentacre £145....thats a big difference!

Classic policy, unlimited miles and it accrues NCB!

Insurance

Just been quoted £231 renewal for my Charger through Adrian Flux.
I think it s a little bit expensive and doesn't accrue NCB.
Any suggestions on alternatives and prices for comparison?
