Barff
:pale: first time we've had the Polara out on a hot day, some point in the past someone has barff over the steering wheel, it's that smell that once noticed you can never ignore :-# I've removed the wheel cover and washed the wheel with three different soaps and a uPVC cleaner, it's still there! Def...

vinyl roof clean
The Polara still has the original vinyl roof, still in good nick but could do with a lift, even the colour is good, any ideas what to clean it with? been told to avoid washing up liquid as the salts damage it, so far I've been told bees wax thro to WD40 ?

Re: Door mirror replacement.
not a concourse fix but have you looked at the sticky back mirrors from Wilco Motorsave, cut to shape and stick on, proper Blue Peter. I've used it to re-do reflectors

Re: going LED
Well that works :D hopefully a photo will magically appear.reasonably straight forward, just had to sit down and figure out where to connect stuff, would look better with lights filling the whole area around the reflector but the cost would have doubled.don't be shy give Nathan a shout at Brightligh...

going LED
Well I'm going in...After some serious faff with the MoT and red / amber indicators I've decided to go for it, I'm lucky as the 1970 Polara has a huge plane lens /reflector between the tail lights. The plan is to fit the amber LEDs (supplied by Brightlight customs) above and below the reflector behi...

Front brake flexi
just had the Polara MoT'd  one of the advisories was that the front brake flexies were too short as they are tight with the suspension hanging...I promised not to jump any downed bridges, slipped his guide dog some more biscuits and all was well. but how long should they be? the hoses are new ...

Re: saggy back end
Update... Brigg Springs is now an Aldi :( would seem that a lot of small spring companies have given up ,but thanks to Dr Dave B in the Yorkshire Badlands its been sorted, whilst he was fettling the brakes he cast his magic over the rear end (of the car) re-profiled and an extra leaf. certainly impr...

Red indicators
We were stuck behind a newish A..i when, just before total boredom set in,I realised it's tail light lens were all red but the led indicators were flashing amber. How does that work? Could I do the same on the Polara? I know led indicators can be a pain to set up,but.
