Re: Russian muscle?
I believe Lada did W4nkel engined cars for KGB & Police in the late 70's & early 80's -Their larger 'Volga' saloons had anything from 140hp W4nkels to 5.5L V8's.

You dont need to pay for access - I joined free few days ago and expected to pay £20-odd fee as it used to be but I was surprised to go on forum after a quick registration.

Re: Ordering stateside - delivery restrictions !
Two years ago I ordered some bits off Summit Racing Equipment & due to a cockup the parcel was returned back to US by DHL - I was expecting DHL to send me a paper Tax+Duty invoice once it got here, but instead they kept e-mailing me to an address I no longer use...for two weeks they got no reply...

Thats right Duncan - I had some bits off you for it, came up to see you once in a baby blue 65 Impala. I actually called Blues Brothers about a rough white 383 '70 Charger but it sold a week before - gone to Newcastle if I remember correctly. Chally was ROUGH and most bits needed replacing/work but ...

Re: New member
Thank you - it was a nice car.
I bought it from Blues Brothers in 2005 in Crewe....I paid £4900 for it on the road (just about).
I was 22 at the time and it was my daily driver for 6 months looking pretty much like I bought it - I did not realise how good those times were till years later

Re: New member
Thanks everyone I've got a '78 2 door Caprice and a '74 Mercury Cougar I bought 'by accident'. The '78 has 455 Buick Big Block that previous owner put into it but its a bit of a disaster & at some point I will probably put a warm 350 in it - thats another story  The Mercury is a survivor c...
