Re: Electric Mustang

I won’t take any of this personally :D

I will say you are pretty close to the mark on calling it a big focus ;)

Mancini Racing ignition module kit

I had a misfire. Not knowing exactly where it was coming from and knowing the entire ignition system was getting a bit long in the tooth, I bought the Mancini Racing ignition kit. Module, resistor, dizzy etc. Now I got no spark anywhere. Nothing at the plugs, coil, no voltage at the resistor. Nothin...

Re: On UK Mopars Facebook

You got any pictures of the parts? I have no interest in the transmission, all the trim, body, interior stuff I might be interested in having crates up and shipped over.

Re: Some valiants for sale

I am going to need a bunch of valiant spares soon. Does everyone have an inventory of what’s available?

Re: Fifty shades of Jade

Can the guys doing the body surfacing not do anything with the wheel opening?

I don’t know how close you are sticking to SCTA wheel exposure rules for partial streamlined, so it might be a non starter, but I’d be looking to something in that area just looking at it.

Re: James’ Barn of Destiny

Insurance taking forever to approve fixing the roof, now the snow is down so we aren’t doing the roof until spring.

I didn’t want to achieve nothing this winter. So I finished the fiddly back wall. Now up into the gables to fit the extraction and finish the wall insulation.

Re: Fifty shades of Jade

Looking at those results there, you already know what you need to do to reduce turbulence behind the rider. The bit I’m interested in though is the tuft on the leg. It’s showing strong outflow. That will interact with the wheel wake and increase the overall vehicle wake and thus drag. Figure out a w...

Re: Fifty shades of Jade

What’s the pressure drop of the mesh screen behind the model? It’ll affect the wake structure and change the trailing edge results. I’m also not keen on how close to the top of the model the shear layer of the jet is. For the speeds you are looking at you really want to be looking at a moving ground...

1359 / KCY 211L is unknown to either us or the old charger club!

My guess is since you have a log book and VIN plate that the cars long gone.

Re: Vh charger

Steve had BPA 256K. Does he not have it now? RAN 5L has a storied history, I’m not sure exactly where it went after Kent. Good to see it still intact though. BPA, RAN and my old CH Hardtop all went through the same guy. Your engine number is at the back of the block stamped on an upward facing pad a...

Re: Rear Axles.

I too have been trying to figure this out. No-where can I find a listed measurement of the VH+ valiant axles perch to perch.

I had noticed though the early B body 8 3/4 seemed to be the closest to the valiant.

Good to see that confirmed, back to the swap meets.

Re: James’ Barn of Destiny

Well work ground to a halt again. I spent a significant amount of money having the roof coated in a titanium oxide that sealed the roof and lowered the inside temps by about 20deg F. It was amazing. I was about to order the roof insulation. Then a storm comes through, lightning strike on a tree brou...

That’s not the type of part you want to get to the end of and find a rounding error in your calcs #-o

Nice piece of work that =D>

Re: Fifty shades of Jade

SCTA rulebook says not to fill the corners of gussets. Not sure why, but that’s what it says.
