thanks dave,for the information,i have been greasing the ball joints up for years,but one of the upper joints has got a bit of play in it,so it needs to be changed,probably best to do them all,had a look on summit racing,and they list the ball joint socket as a ,1-59/64 in.sxt,10213.sunex ball joint...

upper ball joints
hi all,going to change the lower and upper ball joints,as soon as the parts get here,but I am not sure what size of socket I will need,to remove the upper joints,?the nearest one I have is a 2 inch,3/4 drive.but it only sits over the flat part of the joint,at the top.its for a 68 charger.does any on...

thanks for the reply,s.when I had the radiator recored,i thought it was the original ,stock one,as it was fitted in the right place,ect,but when I looked around for a plastic shroud,i found out that I only had 5 numbers stamped on the top of it,but I will have a go at making a shroud for it,carnt do...

Hi all, thinking about changing my stock radiator,to a alloy one, the one I have is a 22 inch,had it recored years ago, still works fine, haven't been able to get a shroud for it, the only time the temperature went up was when I got stuck in traffic on a hot day,but it still ran ok, have been lookin...

fitted both core plugs,in the side of the cylinder head,cleaned up the face of the exhaust manifold,put a straight edge over it,found out that there is a high spot on the manifold,in the middle of it,which would cause the problem .going to get the exhaust manifold skimmed,at the engine shop,will get...

thanks for the reply,s.had the core plugs and the exhaust gaskets,delivered today,going to work on it in the morning,i get what you mean,about the exhaust blowing,hoping it will be the problem.going to check the exhaust manifold,to see if its gone out of shape as well.

hi derek,no its not a exhaust blow,as i had a slight water leak ,on the same side,could not see where it was coming from,so i removed the exhaust manifold,and found out it was the core plug,which is in the cylinder head.the exhaust gasket looked ok,
