Re: 1973 challenger door handle rod clips

These are an absolute Bananarama! to find. I managed to get some off a friendly face who happened to have a couple of spares.

They aren’t strong and are prone to breakage, so if you turn any up in the states, I’d be inclined to order a good handful.

Good luck.

Re: E BODY GROUND CLEARANCE ISSUES

I run 275/60/R15s on my Challenger. Although I have SS springs now, I ran the same when it was on stock springs. No issues.

Re: Floyd Brothers 70 Challenger

It’s definitely getting a new top, I already have it. I know they divide opinion and some aren’t keen, but I like them.

As for the paint, I had factored in panting it and then adding the roof, for the same reason, but I’m talking to some classic car companies in the area about it, as I only want ...

It’s not too bad, apart from the rear centre of the roof, which has been badly filled instead of straightened out.

Re: Floyd Brothers 70 Challenger

Not a thing of beauty, but it’ll do the job.

Obviously didn’t want it rattling, so nipped to Hobbycraft and picked up this self adhesive backed felt to line it with.

Simple in principle, but a bit of a ballache as it wants to stick to everything and is quite stretchy, but got there in the end.

Re: Floyd Brothers 70 Challenger

Did a bit of glove box-ery just before it went to Jim’s.

The ignition is now under the dash, so the standard glove box wouldn’t fit. Fed up of chasing my shades round the floor, but also fed up of flimsy board glove boxes, I made templates and set about using some thin ali sheet to make a new one ...

Re: Floyd Brothers 70 Challenger

Back from Jim’s, he’s done a great job in double quick time!

Had ali heads and manifold, new rocker gear, plus a higher stall converter that I wanted to get done before Dragstalgia, so decided to call in the cavalry so I knew it would be done in time with no issues.

Over to Jim’s and a few days ...
