Re: 318 .. 360 Engine ?

15.25 at 82 on a smog era 318.
My hope for low 12s now.

The other costs that are worth considering - axle upgrade, gearbox upgrade and torque converter to match the new engine and intended use.

I built mine from the back forwards so had the first two sorted with the end goal in mind well in advance.

Re: 318 .. 360 Engine ?

The 390 I've spent the last three years researching and building. Night and day difference, even though I've take it no where near its limit yet. I did the same and got second engine so I could keep mine on the road while it was being built. Glad I did. One thing that needs to be mentioned.......cos...

Re: Dave's 72 Dart

The motor is back in, broken in and now at home. To date 4 heat cycles and 30 miles on it. Thankfully the converter is okay on the street (biggest concern). Biggest change is the sound and the fact the whole car feels alive at idle. Not given it too much yet, as being mechanically sympathetic to eve...

Re: Dave's 72 Dart

Well the last parts turned up just over a week ago (thankfully). I believe I have everything I need to get the new motor installed, which is great as its being dropped off at the end of this week for the install. It will be with Jim Smith for at least a week getting installed and the cam broken in, ...

Re: Le Mans Classic 2023

Late to reply on this one, going again this year.
Fast track tours is the group i go with use.

You can opt for pre-erected tents and it includes padding passes and breakfast/dinner.

Can't wait its been a few years.

Did Monaco with the same company last year for the classic and it was superb.

Re: Really?

Saw this on eBay at the weekend. Shame as the original photo's of multicolur panels didn't look that bad.l in comparison. Whoever buys this is going to end up a grand plus in cost just getting rid of the lumpy paint. One way to kill resale value. Another one of those 'it looked better in my mind' pr...
