Had 2 lots of Prestone in the new engine and it seems to go rusty real fast - its now brown opaque rather than bright yellow.
I do have Ally heads now - so wondering if if got the hump with that somewhere down the line.
Rad /block was flushed etc prior to install.

Re: Valvoline VR1
Immediate thought is "Change it anyway" - just sitting they take on moisture etc - I change mine at LEAST once/yr.
Sometimes it comes out clear ! Less than the price of a fill up - its small beans. Just change it anyway.

I switched to big-Bosches. Will crank forever and fit the tray nicely. Not the cheapest but nice warranty too.

Pretty sure I got my last Lucas at the oil place at Bicester scramble.
Opie oils very good rep - I used to know the owner through cars - he was on the RX8 committee in the early days.

Re: Fuel line replacement
I've just done all my fuel lines with flexis and a mechanical pump (carter).
In line cartridge filter; earls fittings throughout - lovely job and perfectly man enough for my 475hp through a carb.
Dont overthink it if your setup is simple. (I'll fit the return if I ever fit the EFi)

You never know Steve, I believe the bubble may have already burst, younger buyers are not replacing older sellers in anywhere near the numbers needed to keep prices up. I believe only the rarest of the most desirable will command big money in the future, the rest will fall away it’s a generational ...

Re: 1968 charger fuel tank brand
As Dave says the metal sealing ring supplied with new senders generally seem to be made from thinner steel than the original ones.
Therefore it doesn't seal as well. If you kept the original one it might be worth checking it's gauge against the new one.
And you have make sure the sender is dead ...
