G&B Autosspay in Royston are always a good bet - expect a 4 week waiting list. Jeff, Jem & I have all good experiences there. I could ask the guy who sprayed my Barracuda, but he did utter the "never again" statement due to the size & complexity of the job; but he did do a crac...

Absolutely none of my business, but you may wish to consider the impact of putting a cage into what may be a rare and valuable car. I personally think putting a cage in to a car is the turning point that makes it a "Race car" as opposed to a "Classic road car"...... At the end of...

How are you limited by insurance ? If it is a numbers matching motor, then I would put the motor to one side and shove a 318 or 360 in it depending on what your insurance will allow. You would be surprised how much the costs mount up just doing a "simple" engine re-build. If you can buy a ...

Depends on the Centre section type - 741, 742 compared to a 489.

The first 2 are shimmed, the 489 uses a crush washer design tha tis a pain (i.e. needs specialised tools). i think Mancini do a kit to replace the crush washer with a spacer & Shim kit.

I had an air leak (vaccuum leak) internally from the runners to the valley on my 360 Barracuda. It ran apaullingly at low rpm (mind you it has a .590" lift cam & 1.6:1 Roller Rockers, and an M1 Single Plane Manifold!!) and got to the point that it blew oil out of the exhausts (1 bank only) ...

Glass Hoods and Trunk lids are always best as Lift Off type a la "M" Code cars.

Don't expect it to be waterproof. :(

Careful. Depending on what material you select you have to bore the block to different tollerances...... There are Forged (considered the best), Hyper-wotsit (Considered the best value), and Cast (the cheapest). These all require different tollerances. You can run up to 10:1 on the street OK and may...

Nope. 340's and such like are internally balanced; 360's are externally balanced; but you still have to have the reciprocating mass balanced to cut out vibrations. Changing the Pistons changes the weight and thus alters the relationship between the pistons and Crank assembly. When I had my 440 built...

Change the Pistons and you have to consider a re-balance; the cost starts to mount up....

You could always buy the motor out of my Sox Barracuda; that would perk you car up a bit
