Re: RIP Tony O

So sad to read this, I can't add much to what has been said already but I'll really miss this lovely friendly knowledgeable man.

Thinking of him and his hard working family that gave so much to the hobby RIP Tony

Re: Ford F350 MOT headache

The new draft class 4 now includes American and Canadian trucks up to 6500kgs

Hard luck if was made in Mexico but I guess that chimes with the times.

Looks like the sort of contraption that's only safe to be anywhere near when it's in the hangar with all the switches off.

Do what Blue said, run the mig round it. Not really worth a lot of investment at that age.

Not normal

The auto choke should let you drive straight off from cold.

It's either missing or not working properly.

The guy you bought it off could work round it and so could you, as Adam says left foot brake, but it isn't how it should be.

Is the pump really 'new'?

The last rebuilt ford pump I had was really noisey, luckily it wasn't worth sending my core back to the states so I freed off the relief valve and it was silent. It can be pot luck.

Looks a perfectly sensible way of lifting it without causing any more damage to the wall or utility box, it isn't likely to be repaired (at least by the insurance).

Sad news, nice guy.

Had a very clean 70 coronet 500 IIRC, in a lovely subtle pale blue metallic on centrelines.

Remember it isn't the chroming but the polishing that is usually the problem. If your're reasonably competent and have enough time get the chrome removed then file, sand and buff it up before you just let them rechrome it. Usually stuff is wrecked on big polishing machines putting waves in bumpers a...
