Re: Renewals and forum access
That might be possible with the new style forum. The reminder/ renewal form goes out with the last magazine of the membership year but an e-mail would be a good idea. :read2: :thumbright: Ah - that's why I missed it then. There's usually 3 or so people thumb through the mag before I get a chance to...

Re: Renewals and forum access
Any chance the club could send out a mass email reminder next year? I only managed to renew because I went onto a section of the forum that I don't normally look at and found the "i've renewed" thread after it had been running for some time. I would have paid up much sooner had I realised ...

Re: Dave's 72 Dart
Good to see you moving forwards with the car, mate. Does this mean you're ditching the column shifter all together now? Will be intesting to see what you come up with if that's the case. Let me know what bits and pieces you're getting rid of - our cars are so similar in o.e spec' that the road you h...

Re: car purchase in derby
Might be able to help out potentially?
My yank count is still only up to 1 so I'm not going to be able to nerd out and point out every bracket and screw that's incorrect but I know how to look for corrosion and bodges. If it were british leyland tin I'd probably be a lot more useful!!!

Re: Neutral Safety Switch Continuity - Torqueflight 904
if you start it in park and rev it won't you bust the park functionality in the trans? "park" is just a pin that locks the output shaft at certain points so the car can't go anywhere. I've heard of the pins being sheared by folk just slamming the shifter into park before coming to a compl...

Re: 68 Charger steering box rebuild
I spoke to Dave Billadeau on the phone a couple of weeks back and he mentioned he's just taken a power box off a first gen charger that had been on all of a few hundred miles. Think he said it was a borgesson with a flaming river adapter? Give him a ring he might still have it. Think it came off the...

Yes that was nice to see - I'd just put down the mag before I logged on here.
Was also very taken with that 70 satty wagon on the other page.

Re: Engine loves eating bronze dizzy gears
Are these engines set up the same way as a Rover V8 in that the distributor drive also drives the oil pump? Only mention it as a pal of mine kept having similar issues and we determined that it was the high volume oil pump generating too much resistance and therefore adding extra stress on the drive...

Still saying late camaro. Base model. It's not 1 panel it's 2 panels. You can see the joint on the LHS of the picture and the little tab at the top right of the picture for mounting to the body give it away. https://www.ebay.com/itm/78-81-CAMARO-ORIGINAL-GM-DRIVER-LH-SIDE-FRONT-FENDER-GOOD-FOR-CIRCL...
