if they want to sell to the UK from a site which lists stuff in pounds for UK customers they now have to collect VAT at source and pay it to HMRC which means they have to sign up with UK government gateway site so to list anything in pounds on their site they have to do this on top of that the shipp...

same effect yes, not sure about oreintation for wireing it in so it activates... depends on type i think, and much harder to get correct size because the earth strap carries everything...
