Re: RHD '68 BARRACUDA RESTORATION
That’s the join where the roof meets the rear quarter, leaded from the factory. Often looks a bit lumpy when moisture gets under it and it ‘blows’. Very nice repair as usual!

Re: 64 Plymouth Belvedere post car
Keep going Pedro! MUK permit is basically getting the car tagged so it can run at all Nostalgia super stock events rather than just lifestyle Bryan. At lifestyle events the car only has to conform to class rules and general Santa Pod rules. Permit events require the car to have addional safety equip...

Not my cup of tea at all but I guess they are solid investments.

Re: Charger numbers
I don’t think there’s anyway of knowing, the DVLA register isn’t searchable by model and some will just be registered as a 2 door coupe so you couldn’t tell from that which model it was.

Paula Murphy too. There were both here in ‘73 with their funny cars which stayed in the UK.

Re: Bring a Trailer
‘68 ‘vert looks nice until you spot things like that godawful spoiler and the rallye dash in a non rallye frame. Price seems sensible though having said that.

Re: 440 street recipes
A clear objective of what you want to achieve and how much you want to spend is Key. My recipe is bang for the buck and about as cheap as you can do it. Dave’s is heading into 500hp territory at probably double the money. As I say totally depends on what it is you’re after.

Re: 440 street recipes
Speed pro L2355F six pack pistons for decent compression, hydraulic cam from Hughes, billet timing set (440 source is good) 6quart oil pan if it hasn’t got one already. Use the iron heads unless they need work in which case ally heads might make sense. Something like an Edelbrock Torker intake and a...

Re: Blue's Barracuda
Andy only uses moly these days, it’s at least double the price of CDS these days. It’s a shame the seat belt bar had to go in so high but it’s correct for my height. You’re building another car? Didn’t see that coming…

Re: New records in F.A.S.T
The Corvette and Cobra were both marketed as Sports cars so that’s answered as far as I’m concerned. What I see as being far murkier is why a COPO is fine but a ‘68 Hemi A body isn’t, I doubt Joe Public could have bought either new.

Re: Bring a Trailer
Good finds Alan. Especially love the Satellites (obvs). If I had the space I’d have the 65 tomorrow. That 63 looks like hard work with crossplies, drum brakes & 12.6 compression! I very much doubt it gets driven anywhere. The kind of people that like to over restore these cars, erasing their hi...
