You are absolutely right Jem, leave it well alone, just ensure it is all safe and sound, give it a deep clean, nothing more, some period rims (sorry, the steel rims and dog dishes have never done it for me!) and Bob's you uncle.

My workshop floor was last repainted seven years ago with basic garage floor paint from homebase on a fairly rough concrete floor, laid without a membrane and it's dust free and only now beginning to show signs of wear. That's after dragging around a heavy duty trolley jack, axle stands and a rotiss...

Brilliant news Derek, that is an epic result, I really did think that we were out on our ear for good and all through no fault of our own. I was working just a few miles down the road at Silverstone...although there was some good racing, it just wasn't the same, I'm pleased the weather held out for everyone, well done Don for getting in the 9's and to John Castlemen for getting his bird to the Nats after all these years!

I've been lumbered to work over the weekend at the Silverstone Classic event (they DO race at that event Dunc!) so unfortunately, I won't be able to make the Nats this year...gutted!
