Got a bit done today ,the trimmers done a great job of copying the original 1964 lightweight interior.Although the original 64 lightweights had no rear seats I had these redone keeping the original centre Savoy motive on the rear seats ..Always thought this car being an original 4 speed 426 car is w...

Not really a lot to say at the moment ,waiting for door cards and rear seat to come back from the trimmers .Bit of carpet going in but big update coming soon ...couple of pictures of tidied up engine bay and carpet sort of fitted .. .....I have to strip the rear suspension out soon and move the axle...

Well the car is back from MCK Automotives and it starts on the key and runs ...so massive step in the right direction .....I wanted all along for this car to look stock .. Mick has done a tidy job making the wiring look stockish and it starts with the original key which is nice ..no buttons and elec...

Well the time has come were i have to hold up the white flag and admit defeat ...My lack of knowledge and time to learn from my mistakes has come to an end .The Savoy has gone of to someone further up the food chain than me and hopefully the sound of that DaveB built motor will be heard soon ..stay ...

i must confess that in a masochistic sort of way i enjoy the problem solving side ,,,with the help of some on here and further afield what seems to be too much to solve becomes quiet doable with my very basic skill and knowledge ...So plan is to bypass the dash volt gauge and put a good earth strap ...

You’ll have to give the headers a clout, if they are touching the starter it will get too hot. I would use a wrap around the starter if clearance is that tight. thanks Blue i guessed it would need a bit of teasing ,,,,will fire up some photos so show how tight it is ...should have invested in some ...

Speaking of starters ,just fitted my new powermaster starter , it just touches the headers should i take a hammer to the headers or will it be ok ??
