Miles did you check the reluctor?Had similar problem on Charger .The roll pin holding reluctor in had worked its way out,allowing it to spin on shaft.

yep,definately need a breather on other rocker cover,otherwise engine can't draw air in.Also because you have ally valve covers a lot of them did not have a baffle covering the pcv valve,so it will draw oil through it.

Nobody,s mentioned the propshaft. mine was out of balance and split the tailshaft housing.could this not be a contributing factor?did the car have any vibration Dave?

Thanks for replies guys.new master cylinder and servo fitted with the kit,but the pedal travels too far before I get any pressure.there's no gap between the rod and the piston and no air, or fluid leeks in the system.might try a piston seal renewal kit if I can get one.
