RHD '68 BARRACUDA RESTORATION

Hello all, I've had my Barracuda for about 5 years now & have been lurking on here in that time, so I thought it about time I shared some build pics. It had been stood forgotten in a garage for 35 years when I bought it, being sold by a family who were clearing a deceased relative's property. It...

Re: Hello From the North "Sheffield" UK

Hi, Some lovely cars there you've had. Loved the Audi & the green Mk3, I remember seeing your Mk3 on the MTOC site and being in awe at the level of detail (I'm a fellow Mk3 owner!) Some similarities here, I toyed with dropping a v8 in when I restored my Cortina 10 years ago, bought a Fox Mustan...

That looks lovely, wish mine was as solid!

You're right about the colour, white hides a lot of the feature lines.

Good luck with it, be nice to see how it progresses.

Hi Blue, good to meet you too, and cheers again for the tank.
Love the Valiant, wish mine was that solid!

Yes I will start a thread- something I've been meaning to do.

Cheers everyone for the comments, I'll keep posting pics of the build as it progresses. Thanks Dave for the RHD info, it's stuff like that which i'd have no idea about otherwise! All advice appreciated, & no doubt I'll be picking people's brains during the resto. It obviously needs a lot of part...

Thanks for the welcomes/comments so far.. I'm based just outside Sheffield. Unfortunately, it didn't come with much in the way of history/paperwork - it was dragged out of the garage of an old chap as his family were clearing the property. It seems to have spent time in Germany before being laid up ...

Hello All, a brief intro to myself & my car with a few pics attached: I've restored a few classic cars over the past few years, but all have been British, however I've always loved old American cars & have finally found one which ticks all the boxes for me: a 68' Barracuda fastback factory R...
