Craig, you could try blocking over night, always worked for me in the past.
pump peddle until you get good resistance then wedge in position with length of timber.
worth a go!

spoke to a bloke at vanmatic (so they are still trading Dave) says he can do a complete overhaul kit for £180 delivered, considering the exchange rate and all that doesn't sound to bad deal to me, but i would appreciate the opinions of Blue and Duncan on this please.

Transmision overhaul kits

I intend to overhaul the 904 trans in my 68 Dart, anybody got any advice on where to get a kit from and how much it would roughly cost, I think it was Dave Bishop who told me about a company near Heathrow dealing in these kits but any advice would be helpful.

case hardening ?

small bore, small budget mate, I have a good collection of bits, thought it might be worth a try, and any body can buy a kit, i rather like the kerbside autos approach and sometimes the pleasant surprise when something go's rite ;) Know wot i mean.

Thanks for the info and valued opinions fellas, the intention is to fit a 360 crank in a 318 block, might just work by the sound of things.

As Blue pointed out in the wanted section they are 7/16" studs, i should have been more specific, so if you do have a couple of spare 7/16" studs i would be grateful.

Cheers lance.

Bradfield is a bit out of the way for me, but if you don't mind putting a few in the post I'm sure we can come to some financial agreement.
