Never seen anything like that Most of those stop leak things just soften and swell seals,wonder if the stuff has reacted with one of those flushing oils?

Before you do anything check with your local council. Solid concrete is a no no these days, they will want to see a permeable surface laid. Don't put it down and end up with an enforcement order to take it up again. I'd go for a proper sub base and permeable block paving. https://www.planningportal....

There's a transparent silicon grease from RS that I use,doesn't affect rubber. In fact I've used it for tight horticultural tyres,no problems. Replaced one I did 20 yrs ago recently and it slipped off the rim no problem with no rubber degradation. For ball joints etc I use cartridges of that brown s...
