We got our first 100 mph + pass this year and will be looking for a 13 in 2017. Need to go from 3.7 to 3.9 gears. Wider tyres just fitted over geared it this year. We were stuck at 98 mph on Friday, changed the carb at the track from a Holley 670 to a 770 then ran 14.25 / 101 Saturday. Great Mopar n...

A lot of modern cars no longer use taper roller bearings in hubs Yes, but AFAIK they use another mechanism to take the side loads - like a big C-Clip etc, which is not used on an 8 3/4. Anyway, I agree that a properly set up, with slop taken out, 'stock type' Mopar suspension is actually a very goo...

Small block 340 It bump steers a bit, weaves under hard braking and handling is a bit lurchy with the old bars That sounds more like alignment and weak steering/suspension bushings to me. Roger keys did a full alignment at his Monkfish performance business, steering box is good, rebuilt by Steer &a...

Good work Chris :D I wouldn't bother with aftermarket shafts unless yours are twisted or bent. If it's the orig axle I'd doubt it. How did you bend the strut rods? I think the strut rods got bent in the States, the underside of the car looked like it got beached in a boulder field at some t...

I heard early versions of green bearings were troublesome, and current ones are better.

Dragging LH rear brake has been an issue for some time The LH shoes are maybe 80 % worn out, the RH maybe 10% -Wheel cylinder is free. Any hydraulic anomalies should compensate out. -LH brake cable is new, old was tight. The inner was 1/2" shorter on the new cable and I had to back off the adju...
