Blimey Dave. I am very sure mine is as it should be. It's a shame i couldn't leave the body unrestored with the original paint. - But it was just too bad. Here's a puzzle for you Dave: Look at the pics in CA. See if you can spot the deliberate mistake in the restoration of my Challenger. There is so...

It's an inspection tag Clive. When the car was built there would have been a string of them, they were clipped off along the production line. Occasionally one gets left attached, - as in my car?s case.

Dave. You say the R/T Emblems on '70 340 cars are documented. Where? - on the broadcast sheet.?

Here's my Challengers fender tag:

Ah David.... I have to bow to your superior Challenger knowledge. But i must say i am sceptical. Perhaps dealers or original owners fitted R/T badges? Maybe they figured it would look good with them, (after all, 340's had the R/T bonnet). What does Galen have to say about it? I am absolutely certain...

Hi Dave, I am sure you know A66 cars were not R/T's. Any R/T badges were put on by owners. I always wondered why the 340 Challenger was not an R/T. The 340 was an R/T in everything except the badges and black grill paint. This goes for the T/A and AAR too: The AAR Cuda has a BS VIN The T/A Challenge...

Why not.....? Actually there's not much I can do about it. I am a car nut, - and that's that! While I am physically able, I will have cars. I love old Mopars best, - God knows why; compared to modern cars they are crap to drive. But that doesn't really matter does it? You only live once. I intend to...

Oh God.. I just read Blue's earlier post! - This Beeper already has a modern Radio/CD player, - 'makes a change to have good sound in a Mopar! - Only the 3" Flowmaster exhaust system is so deafening it's hard to hear it anyway. Seriously, the problem with rare original cars is how to have fun. ...

I don't know what it is, but the 71's are really turning me on! I like 'em best now. 'Tell you what Blue... when I saw the code FJ6 on the fender tag, I really wanted it. I actively pursued this car. This Road Runner is going to look just right: Sassy Grass Green, with Black Strobes and Air Grabber....

I agree Clive. I don't like the wide steels either. My car will look exactly like that one except for the wheels, - mine has 7 x 15 Ralley's. I am thinking of getting a set of 18" or 20" shiney's with 35 series wide tyres. That's what they're doing a lot Stateside now, - if the stance of t...

That sounds like it Clive. It came in from Florida in 1991.

It was featured in the Oct/Nov 1991 issue of Mopar Muscle magazine while the car was still in Florida.

That's right. For some reason '70 up E bodies and '71 up B bodies suffered more from rust than the earlier cars. I gave up buying rusty cars a long time ago. Both of my E bodies are rust free, and thankfully so is this Road Runner. This car really is in remarkable condition. It has 58,000 miles whic...

That'd be nice Roel, many thanks.

It's had a lot done since Mike owned it, and i'll be doing a lot more with it over the next couple of years. I am really pleased to have it, - it is a seriously nice car.

Thanks guys. I'm well chuffed with it. I know the red looks nice, but when i saw the code FJ6 for Sassy Grass Green on the fender tag, i knew i had to have it. I'll keep it red for this year though.
