Nostalgia Nationals 2017 at Shakey

Busy event as ever, probably more so as Shakeys future looks a little bleak . Anyhow, Faceache link to some of the pictures of the long long weekend we enjoyed. Even non FB account holders should be able to view them, pretty much a camera dump so some of the quality isn't all that  https://www....

The one on my A108 was replaced with a prop of unknown origin before I bought it, it has a slider in the middle rather than a trunion.

Bizarrely the rear is standard mopar type UJ as found on most Mopes of that era, the front joint (which was worn out) is the same size as found on early Mustangs.

You might get away with it, if you run your nail across the crank and it dosn't get caught on any of the grooves I'd risk just changing the bearings. With blue on this one, you could tear the whole thing to bits, find a load of stuff that's close to tolerance & end up rebuilding the whole sheba...

Use loads of that Prestone that stuff all the time, good gear. Yank service folk used to bring loads of it over with them, I guess they thought that 'lil 'ol Engerland wouldn't have antifreeze, oil and brake fluid on the shelf  anyhow, when they got posted back home they still had it, so rather...

Rolls Royce actually ;) so in a very tenuous & round about way you could suggest it was BMW powered.

Might pay to check the accelerator pump plunger, these suffer wear and give a very lean symptom on pick up.

It would appear so Don, too low, too slow & not enough power during the manoeuvre.

ditched Sky a few years back, total waste of money in these enlightened times.
