Dean, has Jeremy still got the hydraulic set-up? If he has it's gotta be worth trying. It worked OK when i had the car. Fitting a Centre Force clutch normally solves heavy pedal problems. I am not convinced you have the correct linkage on that car. It has had so many manual and automatic transmissio...

There is (or was) another Burnt Orange 70 GTX in the UK. I haven't seen it for years. It used to live in Surrey or Kent I believe, - i wonder if it's still around? More recently a friend of mine bought one. I have a picture of part of it in the background near my Challenger taken while Richard Ward ...

You shouldn't have to match a sample of the paint. Most Mopar colours can still be mixed from the correct formula.

Actually it may not exactly match the original even when new due to different paints used today.

Ah but Roel. Your car is a 71 and will almost certainly be a different B5. B5 blue was introduced for the 1969 model year, it continued into 1970 as EB5 (the E for 1969 model year), but the colour is the same. For 1971 the colour was changed slightly (a little darker perhaps) and was renamed GB5 (th...

I'm on shakey ground here, but i am quite sure you have some things wrong. I am sure the build date is 26 May 1972. Check the casting date on the left side of the block near the starter motor, - this will be some months before the build date. Otherwise I am quite sure the build date would be in 10,0...

I reckon 5 26 looks suspiciously like a date code for the 26th May.

The October date if cast on the side of the block will be the casting date.

If you have an October build date on a H440 stamped block, - that would be 1971 not 1972.

The repro Challenger tail lamp bezels i bought are CNC machined from solid brass, then chromed. They are absolutely beautiful, and are one of the few repro products that are far superior to the original pot metal items.

'Be nice if someone repro's similar items for other Mopars too.

Tricky that. I doubt you will get a satisfactory re-chrome on any of those items. In fact i suspect what you get back from the chromers will be scrap. - So my advice is continue to use what you have until you can find better replacements. You may find someone like Duncan has some of the parts you ne...

Blimey Ivor, B5 blue is my favourite Mopar colour. I used to have a B5 '69 Beeper. It'll look gorgeous when you've finished.

My Cuda has 4 different argents: Shaker Grille Wheels Wheel centres I got the argent paints from Roger Gibson www.rogergibsonautorestoration.com The shaker was a 3 pack process, the grill two pack (as i remember). There are other argents used on Chal...

That's right Roger! The quality of the restoration of the Butterscotch 1969? 440 Six Pack Super Bee is awesome, - especially considering the car was in a very bad way when he got it and has taken over four years to complete. Graham Howard went to great lengths to restore the car correctly, - he even...

Favourite car at the Nat's.

Let's have a poll of your favourite car at the Nat's. I'd like to kick off with my vote going to the beautiful red '63 Max Wedge Polara, - look and weep! And I know it's not a Mopar, but what about that immaculately presented Orange & White 55 Chevy? It ran 10.80?s all weekend on (pro) street ty...

Oh yes, - I can already confirm the dates for next year: 29/30/31 July 2005. Put it in your diary, and don't even think of being anywhere else. btw:- We are also negotiating the possibility of a little night racing on Saturday evening next year. If we can do it there will be a time limit of 9.00, - ...
