Re: NEC Classic Car Show 2023

The cars looked great Dave. Credit to you and Craig. And to everyone else for organising.
As has been said it’s a shame we didn’t get more space this year. Hall 5 was pretty well full but they managed to find space in other halls for essentials like stands for sofas and beds.

Re: Bring a Trailer

Good finds Alan.
Especially love the Satellites (obvs). If I had the space I’d have the 65 tomorrow.
That 63 looks like hard work with crossplies, drum brakes & 12.6 compression!

Re: Herts & Beds Xmas meal 2023

Thanks Matt.
Confirmation that menu says 10% will be added. So if you want 2 courses it’s £26.95 (say £27) and for 3 courses it’s £33.55!! (say £34 if that’s ok).

Re: New records in F.A.S.T

He sold the RR and now campaigns a '71 Cuda, again black. He was making his first passes in it at the same meeting after a new engine combo, 9.80's @ 143. More to come, it's reputedly over 1000hp. I don't know the exact size but they are restricted to 560ci. Wish I new all the tricks they are using...

Re: New records in F.A.S.T

Agreed, love the FAST series.
One of my favourite cars is Dudek's RR. Maybe not the fastest in class but stunning.

Re: Dog dishes x 4

Is this for a 62 or 63?
I'm not sure I've seen the 10" caps with Dodge or Plymouth branding.
On the Mosher's website he's got 62 Dodge & Plymouth cars he built with patterned caps (not branded) whereas in 63 they were both plain?
I stand to be corrected.

When I saw you'd turned up in an Olsdmobile Andy, I thought you'd lowered your standards.
But that 98 looks like one special car.

Re: Rob & Stu's 69 Sport Satellite

Neat job.
Do you use water or a solvent to wipe it off? or just lick your finger? :geek:

I used masking tape mainly because i thought the vinyl roof would make it difficult to get a clean edge.

For some reason Derek, when i saw your caravan i thought of the film 'Snatch'.
And expected to see Brad Pitt coming out shouting a dodgy Irish accent.

Re: Rob & Stu's 69 Sport Satellite

Thanks Blue, several people recommend Tiger Seal in preference to silicone. The problem I found with Tiger Seal is it skins over quite fast if you’ve faffed about removing masking tape, and whatever is left in the tube after a day or so will be impossible to get out of the tube.
